I have had an account here since I was I've seen this place change a little over the years for the better , and have to be careful whenever I go in there because it's very easy for me to drop I just started taking piano lessons, and happened to be in town. I walked into this store out of curiosity and found the shop strangely empty it was Good Friday. The staff were able to help me Foundry Music is an implacable resource for all musicians. Our History. There was a time, a century ago, when the foundry made birdcages. But such manufacturing fell on hard times in New Haven, and the handsome brick building became a derelict in a neglected neighborhood Including a top-quality music shop there was an essential component of their plan, so they enlisted local-musician Marcia Stevens to make it happen. The newly renovated foundry building was the perfect location; up on the second floor with light streaming through the windows on both sides, the store would be like a fine library. Marcia was familiar with other world-class sheet music stores such as the late lamented Patelson's across from Carnegie Hall in New York , and used them as models to create The Foundry Music Company.
Call business Classical music lovers will adore the Foundry Music company. Lying across State Street and Whitney Avenue, it is easy to get lost in the golden ages of classical music in this store.
